Newsela: Reading Skills Instruction with Newsela

This course offers modeling of how to use Newsela ELA to teach, practice, and assess important reading skills aligned to the science of reading. We will be finding subject-specific content and addressing how to amplify reading skills during those read-throughs. After that, we’ll see how to utilize Newsela reporting data to plan for future skills instruction.
