This Know Your Rights training for adult educators aims to equip you with the knowledge and tools to effectively support your students and school communities in navigating the complexities of the current immigration climate. You will gain a foundational understanding of your students' rights and responsibilities, including interactions with immigration enforcement, program-wide preparedness planning, and the importance of creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment. Thanks to the MIRA Coalition’s expertise, you will have the opportunity to learn about strategies for building trust with your students, fostering a sense of safety and security, and advocating for policies that protect and support immigrant communities.
