9 PD hours
Designed to enhance direct, explicit instruction of students with language-based learning disabilities (LBLD), this professional development course introduces a selection of specific LBLD teaching strategies and materials focused on active reading, vocabulary, and writing to help adult learners gain educational success.
Complete all phases to earn 9 PD hours:
- Explore: Attend a six-hour, in-person session that introduces specific LBLD strategies and materials for teaching reading and writing skills.
- Practice: Complete a two-hour assignment to practice some of the strategies.
- Reflect and Extend: Attend a one-hour Zoom session to debrief and reflect on the approaches, and to extend your professional knowledge.
