Designing Digital Learning Experiences for the Classroom

Although many programs have students for a very limited number of hours, teachers, advisors, and others have so much they need to cover during that brief time. While it can certainly be challenging to figure out how to include digital literacy along with content and other skills, it can be done! This course focuses on practical approaches to integrating digital literacy skills directly into your existing lesson plans and subjects. You will learn from experienced educators as they demonstrate how to transform traditional math problems into open-ended investigations and adapt English language arts and ESOL units for digital collaboration. Through these real-world examples, you will discover how to leverage tools like Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and online research to deepen student engagement and accomodate multi-level classrooms.

To enroll in a SABES OnDemand course:

2. A new page with the title of the course will open. If you are already logged into Canvas, simply select the green “Enroll in Course” button. If you are not logged into Canvas, enter your email address and select one of the following options –
   • Option 1: “I am a new user” if you do not already have a SABES Canvas account. Then, enter your name, or
   • Option 2: “I already have a SABES Canvas login” if you already have a SABES Canvas account (and are not logged in). You will be prompted to enter your password. If you do not remember your password, select this link to recover it. 
3. Select the green "Enroll in Course" button.

You will see a success message and be directed to the course homepage.
