Full course description

1.5 PD Hrs

This 90-minute virtual workshop will give you a chance to try some of the activities from CALM’s unit on linear inequalities and reflect on the big ideas of the unit. You will compare and contrast linear equations and inequalities, discuss how to visually represent solutions, and consider how the nuances of language affect our understanding of inequalities. In addition, CALM support workshops are a time to meet and share ideas with other teachers. Participants will also have the opportunity to schedule one-on-one follow-up coaching sessions with the facilitator, if desired.

While registrants are not required to attend a CALM Orientation and/or participate in the asynchronous CALM Introduction to participate in the CALM Support Series, we strongly encourage them to do so. The Support Series builds from the prior knowledge gained in the other CALM offerings.

CALM professional development may be bundled to receive Professional Development Points (PDPs). Learn more here.
