Whether you already have a formal advising curriculum or are in the planning stages, there are key considerations to help your students achieve their goals. Developing an advising curriculum that includes push-in visits for education and career planning, administrative procedures for tracking and recording goals, and effective strategies for communication can be invaluable for managing your advising caseload. Course facilitators will share examples of successful advising curriculums and guide you through: Designing multi-level lesson plans for push-in visits Scheduling push-in visits with teachers Setting up one-on-one meetings with students Helping students research career and education opportunities Assisting students in setting education and career goals Documenting student progress towards their goals This comprehensive approach fosters a supportive learning environment and ensures your active involvement.
