Full course description
1.5 PD Hrs
In this workshop, you will deepen your understanding of the kinds of reasoning that forms the foundations of algebra and see how that foundation can be developed in geometry lessons, even at the earliest levels. By exploring an activity involving the area and perimeter of a rectangular garden, and the relationship between those quantities, you will broaden your understanding of the levels of reasoning that can be integrated into the study of geometric concepts. This workshop will provide you with a jumping off point for continuing to bring algebraic ideas into math classes at every turn.
Professional Standards Addressed: K1.1, K2.2, P1.3
