Advising Students with Foreign Degrees & Credentials

Participate in this interactive session if you want to develop your skills advising students with foreign degrees and credentials. Using real student scenarios, you will apply advising strategies, practice using resources, and use new knowledge to help students navigate education and career opportunities. This session is ideal for those who have a basic understanding of the topic, and/or have attended past professional development on the topic. By working through real-life student scenarios, you will deepen your understanding of the questions to ask, the resources available, and the referrals to make. We will introduce new tools and ask you to share the strategies and tools you use. We will make sure you understand the resources, including community and state resources, available to support this population.
